1. Role of Bara House

Bara House operates an online class marketplace that helps parents and guardians discover educational classes and connect with independent teachers.

Bara House may provide tools for:

• Teacher applications
• Teacher profiles
• Class listings
• Enrollment management
• Payment processing
• Parent and teacher communications
• Class scheduling
• Online class access
• Safety review and platform support

Bara House is not a school, employer, credentialing agency, child care provider, or guarantor of teacher performance unless expressly stated in writing.

2. Independent Contractor Relationship

Teachers are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, franchisees, joint venturers, or representatives of Bara House.

Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship between you and Bara House.

As an independent teacher, you are responsible for:

• Your own taxes
• Your own insurance, if applicable
• Your own equipment and internet access
• Your own teaching materials
• Your own licenses, certifications, and professional qualifications
• Your own compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Your own business expenses
• Your own class preparation and delivery

You are not entitled to employee benefits from Bara House, including health insurance, retirement benefits, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, paid leave, or other employee benefits.

Bara House may provide marketplace standards, safety requirements, class listing rules, platform policies, and quality expectations. These requirements are intended to protect users and operate the platform and do not create an employment relationship.

3. Eligibility to Teach

To apply to teach or teach through Bara House, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Have the legal right to work and provide services where you are located
• Complete any required application, onboarding, identity verification, or background check steps
• Maintain a professional and appropriate teaching environment
• Follow all Bara House policies
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Be able to safely and appropriately teach students in your listed classes

Bara House may approve, deny, suspend, or revoke teaching access at any time at its discretion.

Approval to teach one class does not guarantee approval to teach future classes.

4. Application, Screening, and Background Checks

Bara House may require teachers to complete:

• Application forms
• Interviews or video submissions
• Identity verification
• Background checks
• Reference checks
• Profile review
• Class listing review
• Training or onboarding steps
• Ongoing safety checks or re-verification

Bara House may use third-party providers for identity verification, background checks, payment processing, and related services.

You agree to provide accurate information and complete all required steps in a timely manner.

You understand that:

• Screening is part of Bara House’s safety process
• Screening does not guarantee approval
• Bara House may deny or remove a teacher based on application information, screening results, incomplete verification, safety concerns, parent reports, policy violations, or other relevant factors
• Bara House may require updated screening or verification at a later date
• Providing false, incomplete, misleading, or outdated information may result in denial, suspension, or removal

5. Teacher Profile

If approved, you may be permitted to create or maintain a teacher profile.

Your profile may include:

• Name
• Profile photo or headshot
• Biography
• Teaching experience
• Areas of expertise
• Credentials or certifications
• Class listings
• Parent-facing information
• Other details approved by Bara House

You agree that all profile information must be accurate, appropriate, and not misleading.

You may not claim credentials, licenses, degrees, affiliations, endorsements, classroom experience, or professional qualifications that you do not actually possess.

Bara House may edit, reject, remove, or request changes to profile content at any time.

6. Class Listings

Teachers are responsible for creating accurate class listings.

Class listings should clearly describe:

• Class title
• Subject matter
• Age range
• Skill level
• Class length
• Class format
• Number of sessions
• Schedule
• Price, if applicable
• Materials needed
• Parent involvement needed, if any
• Prerequisites, if any
• Learning goals
• Safety considerations, if any

You agree that class listings must not be deceptive, exaggerated, inappropriate, unlawful, or misleading.

You may not list classes that include:

• Sexually explicit content
• Graphic violence
• Hate, harassment, or discriminatory content
• Unsafe activities without appropriate safeguards
• Medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice outside your qualifications
• Political campaigning directed at children
• Religious instruction presented in a misleading way
• Content that violates intellectual property rights
• Content that violates Bara House policies

Bara House may approve, reject, edit, remove, or require changes to any class listing.

7. Teaching Standards

Teachers agree to:

• Teach classes as described
• Be prepared for each class
• Start and end classes on time whenever reasonably possible
• Maintain a respectful and age-appropriate learning environment
• Use appropriate language, visuals, examples, and materials
• Treat students and families professionally
• Encourage participation without pressuring or embarrassing students
• Respond professionally to reasonable parent or platform communications
• Notify Bara House promptly about issues affecting class delivery
• Avoid making guarantees about academic, emotional, social, behavioral, or developmental outcomes

Teachers may not:

• Shame, ridicule, threaten, humiliate, or bully students
• Use abusive, discriminatory, sexually suggestive, or inappropriate language
• Teach while impaired
• Share inappropriate personal details with students
• Use class time to promote unrelated products, services, or personal causes without permission
• Turn class into an off-platform sales pitch
• Encourage students or parents to bypass Bara House enrollment or payment systems
• Use student information for personal marketing outside permitted Bara House communications

8. Student Safety and Boundaries

Student safety is a core requirement. Teachers must maintain appropriate boundaries with students at all times.

Teachers may not:

• Contact students privately outside approved Bara House or parent-approved channels
• Request a student’s personal phone number, personal email address, home address, school location, social media account, gaming handle, or private contact information
• Meet students in person through Bara House unless expressly approved in writing by Bara House and the parent or guardian
• Ask students to keep secrets from parents or guardians
• Send private messages to students without parent involvement or approved platform controls
• Discuss sexual content with students except in an age-appropriate, approved, educational context where appropriate and permitted
• Ask students for photos, videos, recordings, or personal information not reasonably needed for class
• Record students without proper permission
• Engage in grooming, favoritism, coercive behavior, emotional manipulation, or inappropriate personal relationships
• Continue teaching or communicating in any situation that creates a safety concern

Teachers must report safety concerns to Bara House promptly, including:

• Student self-harm statements
• Threats of harm to others
• Suspected abuse or neglect
• Inappropriate adult conduct
• Inappropriate student conduct
• Privacy breaches
• Accidental exposure of personal information
• Unauthorized users joining a class
• Any incident that may create a risk to a student, family, teacher, or Bara House

9. Parent and Guardian Relationship

Parents and guardians are the account holders and decision-makers for student participation.

Teachers agree to communicate professionally with parents and guardians.

Teachers should not make private arrangements with students.

Teachers may communicate with parents or guardians about:

• Class expectations
• Student participation
• Scheduling issues
• Materials needed
• General progress
• Class-related concerns
• Safety or conduct issues

Teachers may not use parent contact information to market unrelated services, bypass Bara House, or solicit off-platform payment unless expressly permitted by Bara House.

10. Class Access and Online Sessions

Teachers are responsible for having:

• A reliable internet connection
• A working camera and microphone, if needed
• Appropriate lighting and sound
• A professional and distraction-limited teaching environment
• Required software or platform access
• Backup plans where reasonable

Teachers must take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access to online class sessions.

Teachers may not share class links publicly or with unauthorized people.

Teachers should notify Bara House promptly if:

• A class link is compromised
• An unauthorized person enters a class
• A technical issue prevents teaching
• A class must be canceled or rescheduled
• A student or parent raises a serious concern

11. Recording Classes

Teachers may not record classes unless permitted by Bara House policy and appropriate consent has been obtained.

If recordings are allowed, teachers must:

• Notify parents or guardians as required
• Follow Bara House’s recording rules
• Store recordings securely
• Use recordings only for approved purposes
• Not post or share recordings publicly without written permission
• Delete recordings when instructed or when no longer needed

Teachers may not use student images, names, voices, work samples, screenshots, or recordings for marketing, social media, portfolio use, or promotional purposes without appropriate written permission.

12. Privacy and Student Information

Teachers may receive limited information about students and families for class purposes.

Teachers agree to:

• Use student and parent information only to provide classes through Bara House
• Keep student and parent information confidential
• Avoid collecting unnecessary personal information from students
• Avoid storing student information outside approved systems unless necessary and permitted
• Delete or return student information when no longer needed or when requested
• Report privacy incidents promptly
• Follow Bara House’s Privacy Policy and child privacy requirements

Teachers may not sell, rent, share, or misuse student or parent information.

Because Bara House may involve children under 13, teachers must be especially careful not to collect personal information directly from children unless it is clearly necessary for the class and permitted by Bara House and the parent or guardian.

13. Class Materials and Intellectual Property

Teachers are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use all class materials, including:

• Slides
• Images
• Videos
• Music
• Worksheets
• Books
• Articles
• Games
• Software
• Curriculum
• Logos
• Trademarks
• Student handouts

Teachers may not use materials in a way that violates copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, licensing, or other rights.

Teachers retain ownership of their original teaching materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

By submitting class listings, profile content, images, descriptions, or other content to Bara House, you grant Bara House a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, modify, and promote that content as needed to operate, market, and improve Bara House.

14. Reviews, Ratings, and Testimonials

Bara House may allow parents, guardians, or students to leave reviews, ratings, testimonials, or feedback.

Teachers may not:

• Submit fake reviews
• Ask students to leave misleading reviews
• Pressure families to leave positive reviews
• Offer undisclosed compensation for reviews
• Retaliate against families for honest feedback
• Publicly argue with or harass reviewers

Teachers may request feedback in a professional and appropriate way.

Bara House may remove reviews that appear false, abusive, inappropriate, irrelevant, or inconsistent with platform policies.

15. Payments and Teacher Payouts

Bara House may collect payments from parents or guardians and remit teacher payouts according to Bara House’s payout rules.

Teacher payout terms may include:

• Class price
• Platform fee or commission
• Payment processor fees
• Refunds
• Credits
• Chargebacks
• Cancellations
• Missed classes
• Promotional discounts
• Membership benefits
• Minimum payout thresholds
• Payout timing
• Tax reporting requirements

Unless otherwise stated in writing, Bara House may deduct platform fees, refunds, chargebacks, payment processing costs, credits, adjustments, or other amounts owed before issuing payouts.

Teacher payouts may be delayed or withheld if:

• A class is disputed
• A refund or chargeback occurs
• A teacher violates this Agreement
• A safety issue is under review
• Required tax or payment information is missing
• Fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity is detected
• A class was not delivered as described
• A teacher account is suspended or under investigation

Teachers are responsible for all taxes related to amounts they receive.

Bara House may provide tax forms where required by law, but teachers remain responsible for determining and satisfying their own tax obligations.

16. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

Teachers should avoid unnecessary cancellations and should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when cancellation or rescheduling is necessary.

Teachers agree to notify Bara House promptly if they cannot teach a scheduled class.

Bara House may require teachers to:

• Offer a makeup class
• Reschedule a session
• Issue or allow a refund or credit
• Communicate with enrolled families
• Forfeit payout for a missed or canceled class
• Follow specific cancellation windows or procedures

Repeated cancellations, late starts, no-shows, or unreliable scheduling may result in class removal, reduced visibility, payout adjustments, suspension, or removal from Bara House.

17. Refunds and Chargebacks

Teachers understand that parent purchases may be refunded or charged back in some situations.

Teacher payouts may be adjusted for:

• Refunds
• Credits
• Chargebacks
• Duplicate payments
• Administrative errors
• Failure to deliver class
• Policy violations
• Misleading class descriptions
• Safety concerns
• Parent disputes
• Other circumstances determined by Bara House

If a payout has already been issued for a transaction later refunded or charged back, Bara House may offset the amount against future payouts or request repayment.

18. Off-Platform Activity

Teachers may not use Bara House to bypass Bara House.

Unless expressly permitted in writing, teachers may not:

• Direct families to pay outside Bara House for classes discovered through Bara House
• Move enrolled families to off-platform classes to avoid platform fees
• Use Bara House contact information to solicit off-platform services
• Encourage families to cancel and rebook directly
• Share private contact information with students
• Use Bara House as a lead-generation tool for unrelated services

Bara House may suspend or remove teachers who attempt to circumvent the platform.

19. Non-Exclusivity

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this Agreement is non-exclusive.

Teachers may provide educational services outside Bara House, provided they do not misuse Bara House information, solicit Bara House families in violation of this Agreement, infringe Bara House intellectual property, or create confusion about whether outside services are affiliated with Bara House.

20. Prohibited Content and Conduct

Teachers may not use Bara House to provide or promote:

• Illegal activity
• Hate, harassment, threats, or discrimination
• Sexually explicit or exploitative content
• Graphic violence or shock content
• Dangerous activities without proper safeguards
• Medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice outside appropriate qualifications
• Misinformation presented as professional instruction
• Political campaigning directed at children
• Unapproved religious proselytizing directed at children
• Content that exploits, manipulates, or harms students
• Content that violates another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights

Teachers may not engage in conduct that creates safety, legal, operational, reputational, or financial risk for Bara House or its users.

21. Mandatory Reporting and Legal Compliance

Teachers are responsible for understanding and complying with any mandatory reporting obligations that apply to them based on their location, profession, credentials, or relationship to students.

If a teacher becomes aware of suspected abuse, neglect, self-harm risk, threats, exploitation, or other serious safety issues, the teacher should take appropriate action under applicable law and notify Bara House promptly.

Bara House may also report safety concerns to parents, guardians, law enforcement, child protection agencies, or other appropriate parties when required or appropriate.

22. Taxes and Required Information

Teachers are responsible for providing accurate payment and tax information.

Teachers are responsible for all taxes, duties, assessments, and obligations arising from payments received through Bara House.

Bara House may require teachers to provide tax forms, legal name, address, taxpayer identification information, or payment account details before payouts are issued.

Failure to provide required information may delay or prevent payouts.

23. Insurance

Teachers are responsible for determining whether they need professional liability insurance, general liability insurance, business insurance, or other coverage.

Bara House does not guarantee that any insurance coverage applies to a teacher’s services unless expressly stated in writing.

24. Confidentiality

Teachers may receive confidential, private, or sensitive information through Bara House.

Teachers agree not to disclose confidential information except as needed to teach classes, comply with law, or communicate with Bara House.

Confidential information may include:

• Student information
• Parent information
• Internal platform processes
• Non-public business information
• Payment details
• Safety reports
• Background check or verification information
• Private communications
• Technical or operational information

This obligation continues after a teacher stops using Bara House.

25. Account Suspension or Removal

Bara House may suspend, restrict, or remove a teacher at any time if we believe:

• The teacher violated this Agreement
• The teacher violated Bara House policies
• The teacher created a safety concern
• The teacher provided false or misleading information
• The teacher failed to complete required verification
• The teacher received concerning reports or complaints
• The teacher repeatedly canceled or missed classes
• The teacher attempted to bypass Bara House
• The teacher misused student or parent information
• The teacher engaged in inappropriate conduct
• The teacher’s continued participation may create legal, safety, operational, financial, or reputational risk

Bara House may remove class listings, pause enrollments, withhold payouts, notify affected families, or take other action when necessary.

26. Termination by Teacher

A teacher may stop using Bara House at any time.

However, teachers are expected to honor existing class commitments unless cancellation is approved or unavoidable.

Teachers who leave Bara House remain responsible for:

• Completed classes
• Refund-related adjustments
• Confidentiality obligations
• Privacy obligations
• Intellectual property obligations
• Tax obligations
• Any unresolved disputes or policy issues

27. Disclaimers

Bara House provides its platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Bara House does not guarantee:

• Teacher approval
• A minimum number of enrollments
• A minimum amount of income
• Class visibility
• Parent interest
• Continuous platform availability
• Positive reviews
• Specific payout timing beyond stated payout policies
• That all disputes or safety risks can be prevented

Teachers are responsible for their own business decisions, class preparation, teaching quality, and legal compliance.

28. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bara House and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of income, loss of business opportunity, loss of data, reputational harm, emotional distress, or other intangible losses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bara House’s total liability related to this Agreement will not exceed the amount of platform fees retained by Bara House from the teacher’s classes during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply.

29. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bara House and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from:

• Your teaching services
• Your class listings
• Your profile content
• Your communications with parents, students, or users
• Your violation of this Agreement
• Your violation of Bara House policies
• Your violation of any law or regulation
• Your violation of another person’s rights
• Your misuse of student or parent information
• Your intellectual property infringement
• Your tax obligations
• Your negligence, misconduct, or unsafe behavior

30. Changes to This Agreement

Bara House may update this Agreement from time to time.

When we update this Agreement, we will revise the “Last Updated” date.

If changes are material, Bara House may provide additional notice by email, account notice, or website notice.

Continued use of Bara House after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated Agreement.

31. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to this Agreement or Bara House will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, unless another dispute resolution process is required by applicable law or stated in a separate agreement.

32. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with the Bara House Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Safety Guidelines, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and any other teacher policies provided by Bara House, forms the agreement between you and Bara House regarding your teaching activity on the platform.

If there is a conflict between this Agreement and the general Terms of Service for teacher-specific matters, this Teacher Agreement controls.
