Who We're Looking For

Bara House is a good fit for educators, mentors, and creators who take both learning and safety seriously.

  • 18 years or older

  • Comfortable teaching in a Christian, faith-aligned environment

  • Able to pass identity verification (Stripe Identity)

  • Able to pass a background check (Checkr)

  • Willing to submit a short mock teaching video

  • Agree to our Teacher Agreement and COPPA-aligned privacy expectations

Teacher FAQs

  • Do I need professional teaching experience?

    No. Formal teaching certification is not required. We welcome experienced educators, mentors, ministry leaders, professionals, artists, makers, and others with meaningful knowledge or skills to share. Applicants should be able to communicate clearly, work well with children or teens, and meet Bara House’s safety and quality standards.

  • How are teachers paid?

    Teachers will be paid per class session through our payment partner, Stripe. You’ll be able to see your earnings and upcoming payouts in your teacher dashboard.

  • How much can I earn teaching on Bara House?

    You choose your class price, schedule, and class size. Teachers receive 70% of class revenue, while Bara House retains a 30% platform fee to support payment processing, platform operations, marketing, safety systems, and teacher support. For example, an $18 class with 10 enrolled students would earn you $126.

  • How long does the application process take?

    The initial application only takes a few minutes to complete. Identity verification and background checks may take a few days, depending on response times.

  • Can I teach from anywhere?

    Yes, as long as you have a reliable internet connection and meet our legal and safety requirements, you can teach from anywhere we’re able to operate.
